What We Do

Energywiz offers a wide variety of energy and sustainability services, including:

As Certified Energy Procurement Professionals (CEP), we analyze your costs and rates, and manage purchasing options that minimize price within your risk/reward profile, including (if desired) use of renewable energy options, both on- and off-site. With broad experience in energy supply and service contracting, we know how to reveal and avoid their "traps."

As Certified Energy Managers (CEM), we employ advanced analytical tools that examine your usage and demand to find ways to cut costs. Such services include 3D load profiling, data mining, and metering.

As LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED AP), we can oversee certification of your facility in the Leadership for Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program. We also perform confidential greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories (also called 'carbon footprints') and recommend ways to position your facility as an environmental leader.

As energy master planners, we can assemble a program to coordinate the various ways in which energy costs may be controlled and reduced. The final product works with your facility master plan to build energy savings into your organization's future.

As experienced energy project managers, we audit your facility's energy systems and recommend specific changes to cut energy cost, use, and emissions within your defined financial criteria.

  Market Intelligence

For those providing energy services and products, we employ our extensive knowledge of your industry to research and critique both your offerings and those of competitors. We perform market analyses that improve and position your products to beat their challengers.

Through both in-person and online seminars, we enrich your staff's knowledge and understanding of how to control energy use and costs. Energywiz, Inc. is the only firm that teaches retail power procurement, load profiling, and tariff analysis online, providing low-cost ways to help your personnel jumpstart their energy management capabilities. Through such increased intellectual capital, your costs for managing energy are reduced. When requested, we have also found and placed experienced energy personnel to expand such capabilities.

Introductory Services

We start by benchmarking your consumption and cost relative to your type of facility, location, and other factors. Through examination of energy bills, interval data, EMS logs, and other technical and financial data, we develop an in-depth understanding of what is driving your energy costs – and how to reduce them while maintaining services. Using cutting-edge analytical and graphic tools, we dissect and portray where and how your energy costs may be minimized. Through reports and visual presentations, we expand your understanding of the issues and opportunities, and lay out a process for addressing them. If desired, we will expand this analysis into an energy or sustainability master plan tailored to your long-term needs and desires.

Expanded Services

For those already having a clear understanding of their present energy use and direction, we also offer more advanced services, including:
  • load profiling to reveal real-time load management opportunities
  • energy procurement (RFP development, contract negotiation, bidding/auctions)
  • critique of specialty contracts (e.g., cogeneration, renewables, efficiency)
  • review/improvement of technical designs and proposals (lighting, HVAC, etc.)
  • utility cost accounting/management (including software and metering options)
  • finding and qualifying energy management personnel for your facility.
